LAKE FOREST, Ill. — D’Andre Swift skipped some practice this week dealing with a groin injury. The Bears feature back didn’t go on Wednesday but got back to work in the following days.
The rest did him some good. He was designated as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. Minnesota. on the team’s official injury report. That announcement was made on Friday afternoon.
So was receiver Keenan Allen, who showed was limited on Friday with an ankle injury. That was his first day listed on the team’s participation report.

Swift had 71 yards and a long touchdown run on 14 carries, proving yet again that he’s capable of being a home run threat. Roschon Johnson was more involved last week, which could well continue under new offensive play caller Thomas Brown.
Allen has been a steady presence on short and intermediate routes. Losing him or Swift against the Vikings would be a significant issue for the Bears offense.
Safety Elijah Hicks was ruled out of Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. It’s anticipated that Jonathan Owens will start in his place.
The Bears are getting left guard Teven Jenkins back. He didn’t receive an injury designation and will resume his starting spot. Ryan Bates, who started for Jenkins in Week 11, will be out with a concussion.
