Bears TE Cole Kmet made NFL history following big game in London
For the first time ever, a long snapper was named the NFL Special Teams Player of the Week.

It just so happened that this particular long snapper caught 2 touchdowns and tallied 70 yards – in addition to 5 successful long snaps.
Cole Kmet was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after the Bears’ win in London.
The Bears’ regular long snapper, Scott Daly, was forced to miss the team’s game in London against the Jaguars due to a knee injury.

Kmet is the backup long snapper on the roster, so he was pressed into duty during the game.
The Bears scored 5 touchdowns – Kmet with 2 on his own – so the tight end only had to snap for extra points. He executed all 5 successfully.
Kmet and the Bears are on a Bye this week but will return for a highly anticipated showdown with Jayden Daniels and the Commanders in Week 8.
