David Bote’s home run sparks virtual Cubs in win
David Bote has had his share of big hits in his young career already. In our 2020 season simulation on MLB The Show, Bote showed he can grab clutch hits in the virtual landscape, too.
Bote hit a solo home run, the only run of the game, as the Cubs beat the Phillies 1-0 in Wrigley Field. The Cubs avoided a sweep and improved to 17-11 on the season.
José Quintana was magnificent again for the Cubs, pitching 7 innings, allowing just 2 hits, walking 3 and striking out 8, as he improved to 4-0 on the season.
The Cubs will host the Pirates for a three-game series to wrap up the homestand on our Facebook page Monday at 1 p.m.
