On Friday night, he hit a homer in his 4th straight game – the first time a Myrtle Beach player has done that since 2006.

Smith was the 14th overall pick in last month’s MLB Draft out of Florida State University.

The 21-year-old third baseman is now hitting .317/.404/.707 (1.111 OPS) with 4 homers and 9 RBI in his first 47 plate appearances in pro ball.
