Cubs prospect Alexander Canario details his adjustments and love for ‘The Avengers’

Cubs prospect Alexander Canario’s favorite moment in the 2023 season is simple:
When your first career big-league homer is a grand slam, it’s hard to top that moment.
Canario made his MLB debut in September last season for the Cubs and though he only appeared in 6 games, he made his time in the lineup count.
Including the grand slam, Canario hit .294 with a .941 OPS in 17 at-bats.
The 24-year-old prospect spent several weeks up in “The Show” earlier this season as well but he’s currently down in the minors and Lance Brozdowski caught up with Canario in Iowa. Catch the full interview on the Marquee Sports Network app.
Canario detailed his offensive adjustments and what type of advice he has received from the hitting coaches with in the organization.
“Just keep making adjustments to be a better hitter and keep working every day,” Canario told Brozdowski. “They say they’re happy with my results and it’s about adjusting every day coming to the field. I’ll do whatever I have to do to be better.”
Canario also shared his love of Marvel’s “The Avengers” and why Iron Man is his favorite character.
Plus, who does Canario think would win in a home run derby showdown between himself and fellow Cubs prospect Owen Caissie?
