Darrell Taylor among Bears inactives vs. Patriots
CHICAGO — The Bears are banged up along the offensive line, something identified when so many in that position group were ruled out of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots at Solider Field.
The defensive front isn’t in great shape, either. They lost defensive tackle Andrew Billings to injured reserve earlier in the week. Then they deemed edge rusher Darrell Taylor inactive on Sunday. He was questionable coming into the game with a knee injury.
While Montez Sweat’s return to the lineup will help, the Bears sub-package pass rush is best with Taylor off the opposite edge, expect DeMarcus Walker to see more snaps, with Jacob Martin adding influence to that position group as well.

Starting left tackle Braxton Jones and starting right tackle Darnell Wright on Friday, along with swing tackle Kiran Amegadjie. The Bears added another offensive lineman to the list of unavailable players early Sunday morning, when they ruled reserve guard Nate Davis out with a back injury. That leaves depth chart up front in a weird space, needing a ton from backups to keep the offense going.
The inactives list didn’t carry many surprises, considering five people were ruled out prior to the official announcement.
