HOUSTON — Rome Odunze will play Sunday night’s game against the Houston Texans.
The rookie receiver and No. 9 overall draft pick was not among the inactives released by the Bears 90 minutes before kickoff, meaning he’ll go a short time after suffered an MCL sprain in a Week 1 win over Tennessee.
He and Keenan Allen were considered questionable on the team teams official injury report. Allen has been dealing with a heel issue over the past few weeks. He didn’t practice all week, while Odunze was a limited participant on Friday after sitting out the previous two days.

Allen was ruled inactive, however, and will miss an important game against a 2023 playoff team. Head coach Matt Eberflus said that rest is the best option for Allen, who will now have a week of it heading toward the next game at Indianapolis.
