Panel reaction to Manfred’s uncertainty: ‘Everybody’s angry’
“It’s a huge game of chicken.”
That’s what Bruce Levine said about the newest statements from MLB commissioner Rob Manfred about his uncertainty of the return of baseball in 2020. Levine, Pete McMurray and Len Kasper joined Cole Wright on Cubs 360 Daily on Monday to delve into detail about what these ongoing negotiations between the MLB owners and the MLBPA have now created.
Kasper was not optimistic about a 2020 season after these comments.
“The fundamental issues these two sides have have not even allowed them to think of the fans or the media or anyone else. I don’t know when it’s going to end,” Kasper said.
McMurray voiced his disappointment with the owners and players’ inability to come together to make a deal.
“Everybody’s angry. The owners are angry. The players are angry…Baseball had the chance to be the first sport back during the pandemic, and they blew it because of greed,” McMurray said.
