The first — unofficial — Bears depth chart is here

The first unofficial depth chart of the season is here.
Caleb Williams, as coach Matt Eberflus has long alluded to, is listed as QB1. Behind the rookie are second-year Tyson Bagent, veteran Brett Rypien and the undrafted rookie from Western Kentucky, Austin Reed.
The offensive line looks similar to how the Bears ended the season.
Center Ryan Bates, acquired in a trade with the Bills in March, is the only new addition. The Bears ran for the 2nd-most yards in the league in 2023 (141.1 yards / game), trailing only the Ravens (156.5).
Veterans DJ Moore and Keenan Allen are listed as the Bears’ “WR1”, with 1st-round pick Rome Odunze slotted behind them. Allen, who was named the 51st best player in NFL’s top 100 players of 2024, made a beautiful sideline catch on a ball from Caleb on Thursday.
On the defensive side, the only new face amongst the starters is safety Kevin Byard, who was signed as a free agent from Philadelphia.
The Bears still boast a defensive line of Montez Sweat, Andrew Billings, Gervon Dexter Jr. and DeMarcus Walker, which powered Chicago to a league-best rushing defense (84.6 yards/game).
