Virtual Cubs make comeback against Pirates in slugfest

4 years agoStaff Report

A total of 26 runs crossed the plate, but the virtual Cubs snapped a three game skid with the 16-10 slugfest win over the NL Central division opponent in the Pittsburgh Pirates in our 2020 season simulation.

The Cubs were down by as much as five runs until the 6th inning. They racked up a total of 8 runs in that inning alone, giving them the lead. Kyle Schwarber’s 2-run home run pushed the Cubs ahead 12-10 and never let go of the lead. They now sit with a record of 26-23.

The Cubs continue their road series in Pittsburgh at 1 p.m. on our Facebook page
