Watch the special family reunion two years in the making that happened at Wrigley Field

2 years agoAndy Martinez

Everyone always says Wrigley Field is special.

Sunday afternoon, it was memorable for the Martínez-Urbina family.  That’s because the family was honored prior to the National Anthem on the field for the service of their family member E3 Airman First Class Johnathan Martínez-Urbina.

Then, right before the singing of God Bless America and the Star-Spangled Banner, Wrigley Field public address announcer Jeremiah Paprocki announced to the crowd something the Martínez-Urbina family won’t soon forget.

Paprocki spoke into his microphone, announcing the arrival of Johnathan, the first time the family had been reunited in two years. The family embraced in the special moment, stood for the two songs and then hugged again on the field afterwards.

Watch the special moment above.
