Alan Trammell on managing the Cubs for 4 games in 2007
Former Cubs bench coach and Hall of Famer Alan Trammell joined Ryan Dempster on Off The Mound presented by Sloan, to discuss the time when Trammell managed the Cubs for four games in 2007.
In 2007, Lou Pinella was suspended for four games and the bench coach Alan Trammell took the reins to manage the team.
“We didn’t do too bad,” Trammell said. “I believe we were 3-1 out of those four games. I look back at the times and everything that I’ve done in baseball I really have enjoyed. I was really appreciative of the Cubs and Lou Pinella bringing me in there and it was four great years for me.”
During that 2007 season, the Cubs had a record of 85-77, winning the NL Central. However, they would be swept by the Diamondbacks in the NL Division Series.
