Andrew Chafin calls on Cubs fans to help land ‘old beater’ car for narrow Chicago streets

Reliever Andrew Chafin has quickly endeared himself to Cubs fans since arriving on the North Side with his unique style and stellar performance on the mound. Now the popular mustachioed hurler is asking fans to help him score a used car to better navigate the narrow city streets of Chicago.
Hey @cubs fans! I’m looking to buy an old “beater” car for like 2k to drive around the city cuz my truck is way too big for the narrow streets here. Must be manual transmission! Haha cut me a good deal and we can mix in free tickets throughout the season!!

It’s clear Chafin is a motivated buyer who isn’t going to drag out the process. In some ways his approach during the early stages of the car-buying experience reflects his no-nonsense, aggressive attitude on the mound.
This is a man who knows what he wants and he’s going after it.
For fans out there who may have a small to mid-sized old “beater” stick shift car they are prepared to move on from rather quickly, Chafin is ready and willing to make an offer of roughly $2,000.
The key to the whole deal may be the free tickets the veteran reliever is offering to throw in to sweeten the package.
Most sellers list their used cars with a price followed by “O.B.O.” to indicate some flexibility for the amount they are expecting. In this case, it seems very likely Chafin will be making the best offer.
