Bears coach Matt Eberflus throws out first pitch, sings stretch at Wrigley Field
New Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus took a trip to the Friendly Confines and threw out the ceremonial first pitch. However, former Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood decided to lend a hand with preparing Eberflus for the Wrigley energy and his first pitch.
A first pitch at Wrigley requires some serious training.

See you tomorrow, @Cubs. 😎
“His coaching was excellent,” Eberflus said. “Really the mental side of it in terms of being smooth. Take a deep breath before you do it. Take it in. Soak it in. Enjoy the moment, and then smooth it in there.”
“I can tell he’s been working at it, which always makes me laugh,” Wood said. “Everyone that throws the first pitch gets so nervous about bouncing the ball, but not many of them get to practice it.”
Eberflus also led the way in singing the 7th inning stretch.
