Cubs 1B Michael Busch soaking up the ‘intensity’ of 4 Nations

The 4 Nations Face-Off has taken the United States by storm.
Cubs first baseman and Minnesota native Michael Busch was tuned in on Saturday night for the rivalry game between USA and Canada.
“It was really fun to watch just the intensity of the game and some of the best players in the world going at it,” Busch said Thursday from Cubs camp. “I think everybody in the hockey world was just so fired up about the intensity and how much it meant to those players.”
Saturday’s game saw 3 fights in the first 9 seconds of play, which only ramped up the intensity of the game on the ice and on social media.
The United States defeated Canada 3-1.
With Canada’s victory on Monday over Finland, the two countries are set to meet again Thursday night in the Championship Game. The game will be played in Boston at the TD Garden, home of the Boston Bruins.

Busch will certainly be watching.
“It’ll be on my TV for sure,” he said. “I wore my USA shirt today. It’s exciting … Owen (Caissie’s) a Canada fan, so we’ve been know chitchatting a little bit (and) throwing some shade here and there. But, yeah, I’m excited to watch it.”
The game itself couldn’t be more evenly matched, with most sportsbooks listing the game as a ‘pick ‘em’ (both teams are at -105 on Circa Sports).
“Pretty even match-up,” Busch said, “but, you know, two really good countries and two really good hockey teams.”
