Cubs 360 Daily: Dr. Fauci’s option for a possible return

4 years agoStaff Report

Ryan Dempster, Bruce Levine and Taylor McGregor joined host Cole Wright on Cubs 360 Daily to discuss Dr. Anthony Fauci’s statement from a Snapchat interview about the plan for the possible return of baseball.

Dr. Fauci told Good Luck America’s Peter Hamby:

Nobody comes to the stadium. Put [the players] in big hotels, wherever you want to play, keep them very well surveilled. … Have them tested every single week and make sure they don’t wind up infecting each other or their family, and just let them play the season out.”

What does this mean as the MLB looks into coming back this season, according to Ryan Dempster?

“We need sports back. Baseball has always been this thing that we had during the toughest of times. When men went away to war, they started a baseball league that women played in to give people a place to go to enjoy the game of baseball. After 9/11, baseball helped bring back a country. It united a country.”

They also discussed the hope that Dr. Fauci provided in his statement with the fact that baseball could come back this summer.
