Cubs 360 Daily: Panel reaction to players not taking further paycuts

2 months agoStaff Report

Bruce Levine, George F. Will and Len Kasper joined Cole Wright on Cubs 360 Daily, presented by Miller Lite, to discuss the MLB Players Association’s announcement that players will not be taking any further pay cuts.

Levine brought up the point of where will the revenue be.

“You would have to say that the players association is going to have to be reasonable about what available monetary gains they get during these very tough, tough times.”

Kasper took it a step further to discuss how some the veteran ballplayers should step up during these times.

“However, what I worry about the most is the veteran players who do not need the money, who have young children, basically say, ‘I would rather sit out than spend three to four months without my kids. I don’t need the money…I think it may come down to those guys deciding what’s best for everybody and not just what’s best for themselves.”
