10 months agoElena Shklyar

The MLB and Chicago Cubs announced the tentative 2024 regular season schedule. The Cubs open their 149th season against the Texas Rangers on March 28 at Globe Life Field.

The home opener at Wrigley Field is slated for Monday, April 1, against the Colorado Rockies. The 2024 season will be the first time that the Cubs open the season on the road since 2019.

The Cubs 2024 schedule includes interleague play against every American League team for the second-straight year along with a home-and-home series against the Chicago White Sox. The Crosstown Classic series will include a pair of two-game series on June 4-5 (Wrigley Field) and August 9-10 (Guaranteed Rate Field.)

After three games at the Rangers (March 28, 30-31), the Cubs return to Wrigley field for a six-game homestand against the Rockies (April 1-3) and Los Angeles Dodgers (April 5-7). Chicago will then head back on the road for a nine-game trip to play at the San Diego Padres (April 8-10), Seattle Mariners (April 12-14) and Arizona Diamondbacks (April 15-17).

The Cubs interleague schedule includes hosting the Houston Astros (April 23-25), the Los Angeles Angels (July 5-7), the Minnesota Twins (August 5-7), the Toronto Blue Jays (August 16-18), the Detroit Tigers (August 20-22), the New York Yankees (September 6-8) and the Oakland Athletics (September 16-18).

The Cubs are scheduled to host four holiday games in 2024. These include Father’s Day on June 16 vs. St. Louis; Juneteenth on June 19 vs. San Francisco; Independence Day on July 4 vs. Philadelphia; and Labor Day on September 2 vs. Pittsburgh.

The 2024 Cubs schedule is tentative and subject to change at any time.
