The MLB London Series is returning for the 2023 season with a 2-game regular season series between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals, as announced Thursday.

The series will be played on June 24-25, 2023 at London Stadium.

This series was originally set to be played in 2020 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Both the Cubs and Cardinals have experience playing outside of the continental United States. The Cubs played in Tokyo, Japan back in 2000 against the Mets; they also played in 2003 against the Montreal Expos in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Cardinals played a 2-game series against the Reds in 2019 in Monterrey, Mexico.

The Red Sox and Yankees played in the London Series in June 2019, the first time MLB games took place in Europe.
