Cubs fans show their love for Javy Báez with standing ovation before 1st at-bat
Javy Báez admitted he was nervous for his 1st at-bat at Wrigley Field Tuesday night.
It had been 3 years since Báez last played at Wrigley, after he was traded away at the deadline in 2021.
Before the game even started, the Cubs honored Báez with a video board tribute packed with some of his top moments in Chicago. He shared a nice moment with fans after, raising his hat to thank the Wrigley faithful.

Báez’s first at-bat came in the bottom of the 2nd inning after Cubs starter Javier Assad gave up back-to-back-to-back singles.
The 31,119 fans in attendance at Wrigley Field gave Báez a standing ovation as he was announced:
