Cubs host Growing Hope concert at Gallagher Way

9 months agoStaff Report

While the Cubs were in New York beating the Mets Tuesday night, Wrigleyville was abuzz.

The Cubs and Gallagher Way partnered with JCC Chicago to host a free concert Tuesday night outside the “Friendly Confines.”

TikTok star Montana Tucker emceed the event that featured the Violins of Hope and artists like hip-hop violinist Miri Ben-Ari and saxophonist Avery Dixon.

The concert was designed to serve as powerful example of hope.

“In response to growing antisemitism and hate crimes, which have more than doubled in Chicago over the past year, ‘Growing Hope’ is an expansion of the current six-month, state-wide residency of Violins of Hope, instruments once played by Holocaust victims and survivors, some in concentration camp orchestras,” the media release said.
