1 month agoStaff Report

Marquee Sports Network premieres a new episode of Chris & Tell presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois this Friday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. CT. Hosted by Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Chris Myers, this month’s episode features an in-depth conversation with Cubs legend and MLB Hall of Famer, Billy Williams.

Williams played 16 seasons with the Cubs from 1959-1974, earning the 1961 N.L. Rookie of the Year Award and making six National League All-Star Teams. The Sweet Swingin’ Williams ranks third in franchise history in games played (2,213) and home runs (392), and fourth in RBI (1,353). He became the second Cubs player to ever be honored with a statue outside of Wrigley Field in September of 2010.

Williams sits down with Myers to reminisce about memories from his playing days, as well as his thoughts on the current game and the significance of having fans back in the ballpark this season. He also touches on rapid fire topics, such as his most influential teammate, the toughest pitcher he ever faced and the best advice he ever received from a manager.

Tune in to Chris & Tell presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois on Friday at 7:30 p.m. CT on Marquee Sports Network, leading into Cubs-Dodgers pregame coverage on Cubs Live! at 8 p.m.
