Cubs prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong got revenge after beanball incident in the most epic way possible
Pete Crow-Armstrong has not been back in Triple-A for long but his week has been filled with highlight after highlight.
Friday night’s highlight was easily the best yet.
In the bottom of the 4th inning, Indianapolis pitcher Wily Peralta threw behind Crow-Armstrong on the first pitch…then again on the second pitch.
Iowa Cubs manager Marty Pevey came out to argue and was ejected defending his player. Both teams were ultimately warned.
That set the stage for Crow-Armstrong’s epic rebuttal.
“I hope he hits this next baseball 5,000 feet,” Iowa broadcaster Alex Cohen said.
Crow-Armstrong nearly delivered on that bold proclamation.
The first pitch after that ordeal, Crow-Armstrong obliterated a solo homer to right field and slammed the bat into the ground with an emphatic spike.
Crow-Armstrong then took his time rounding the bases, revving up the crowd and his teammates in the process.

Crow-Armstrong has been on fire since he was optioned back to the minors earlier this week. In 4 games with Iowa, he has multiple hits in every contest to go along with 3 homers, 7 RBI and 8 runs scored.
