Daniel Descalso gives player perspective on shutdown
Cubs second baseman Daniel Descalso joined Cole Wright and Len Kasper on Cubs 360 Daily, presented by Miller Lite and discussed what the feelings inside the Cubs’ clubhouse were like the day the MLB shut down.
“Once [the NBA shutdown] happened, we figured we were next. Obviously, we didn’t know how long it was going to be for. I hoped for maybe a week or two, maybe three, and here we are in the middle of May.”
Descalso also gave his opinion on which MLB proposal to start play again sounded best to him.
“We would like to play as soon as possible as long as the players feel safe, the staff feel safe. As long as it’s a safe environment.”
