A fan-favorite for seven seasons on the North Side, Derrek Lee is the subject of the newest episode of Cubs Cornerstones presented by the Road Home Program at Rush, premiering this Sunday, October 17 at 6 PM CT. Each month, Cubs Cornerstones showcases a different Cubs legend, highlighting the on-field and off-field moments that live on in the annals of Cubs history.

Affectionately known as “D-Lee,” the lanky first baseman batted .298 with 179 homers and 574 RBI in seven seasons with the Cubs, earning two Gold Glove Awards, two All-Star nods and the 2005 Silver Slugger during that span. His 2005 season was one of the best seasons in franchise history as Lee led the league with a .335 average and 50 doubles, while adding a career-high 46 homers.
