Doug Glanville discusses life after sports on newest episode of ‘Class is in Session’

All across America this month, student-athletes are graduating and receiving their diplomas. But is commencement an end or the beginning? On this month’s episode of Class is in Session presented by UI Health, premiering Sunday, May 29 following Cubs Postgame Live!, Doug Glanville and the panel dissect what’s next for these athletes when the games are over and real life starts. 

Joining Glanville this month are two guests with vast experience within the student-athlete landscape: 

  • J.A. Adande – Acclaimed sportswriter and current Director of Sports Journalism at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism
  • Prim Siripipat – Host of “The Next Chapter” podcast and PhD student in counseling psychology

Prior to Class is in Session, tune in as the Cubs visit the crosstown Chicago White Sox at 1:10 PM CT. The newest episode of Class is in Session will premiere immediately following postgame coverage. 

ABOUT CLASS IS IN SESSION: Hosted, written and co-produced by former Cubs outfielder Doug Glanville, Class is in Session explores the intersection between sports and society, looking at the human side of sport, with a discussion led by Doug Glanville and featuring distinguished panels of expert guests. In 2021, Class is in Session earned a Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Achievement for a Sports Interview/Discussion. Previous episode topics include barriers for minority coaches in sports, the collegiate amateurism model, the relationship between patriotism and sports, the importance of mental health awareness and more.
