1. Mount Carmel 14-0 (2)
The Caravan finished a perfect 14-0 season.
2. Loyola Academy 13-1 (3)
The Ramblers only blemish in 2022 was its Week 9 loss to Mount Carmel.
3. Lincoln Way East 13-1 (1)
The Class 8A runner up Griffins welcome back 10 starters for 2023.
4. York 12-1 (11)
The Dukes crashed the Elite level in Class 8A this season.
5. Glenbard West 11-2 (6)
The Hilltoppers made a strong 2022 postseason run.
6. St. Rita 10-3 (13)
The Mustangs will begin a new era in 2023 under head coach Marty Hopkins.
7. Batavia 10-4 (4)
The Class 7A runner up Bulldogs welcome back 9 starters including 7 on offense for 2023.
8. St Charles North 10-2 (NR)
The North Stars graduate some key names from this past season but they also have a deep underclassmen group anchored by sophomore QB Ethan Plumb.
9. Lake Zurich 11-2 (NR)
The Bears also returned to the highest level of Class 7A in 2022.
10. Maine South 9-3 (5)
The Hawks always reload and will again for the 2023 season.
11. Warren Township 10-2 (7)
The Blue Devils have won 10 plus games in three out of the last four seasons.
12. Lemont 12-1 (21)
Look for Lemont to name a new head coach for the 2023 season soon.
13. Prairie Ridge 12-2 (29)
QB Tyler Vasey had a historic season as the state’s all time leading rusher.
14. Wheaton North 9-2 (NR)
The Falcons played very strong football in 2022.
15. Crete-Monee 9-3 (26)
The Warriors graduate some key names including Joshua Franklin (Western Michigan) and Lynel Billips Williams (Miami of Ohio).
17. Palatine 10-2 (24)
The Pirates welcome back a very strong underclassmen group for 2023 led by sophomore DL Jayden Williams.
18. Simeon 12-1 (Next In)
The Wolverines are also in search of a new head coach as Legendary HC Dante Culbreath calls it a career.
19. Marist 7-4 (9)
The Redhawks will once again reload and challenge in the ESCC/CCL Blue in 2023.
20. Brother Rice 7-5 (18)
The Crusaders played better and better each week for first year head coach Casey Quedenfeld.
21. Lyons Township 9-3 (NR)
The Lions are another team to watch in 2023 led by 4 star ranked OL/DL Eddie Tuerk.
22. Prospect 9-2 (23)
The Knights also got an all state caliber season from senior QB Brad Vierneisel.
23. Neuqua Valley 8-3 (8)
The Wildcats graduate a big senior class but this program always has talent that steps up.
24. IC Catholic Prep 13-1 (Next In)
The Class 3A state champion Knights also welcome back 12 starters for 2023.
25. Providence Catholic 9-5 (NR)
The Class 4A runner up Celtics and head coach Tyler Plantz made some serious noise in 2022.
26. Nazareth Academy 10-4 (19)
The Class 5A state champion Road Runners welcome back 13 starters for 2023, including 9 sophomore.
27. Sycamore 12-1 (Next In)
The Spartans also graduate a highly successful senior class this coming spring.
28. St. Ignatius 10-3 (NR)
The Wolfpack continue to see its football program continue to reach new heights again this season.
29. St. Francis 11-2 (27)
The Spartans will graduate a strong senior class but they still have plenty of underclassmen to watch in 2023.
30. Morris 10-3 (NR)
Morris continues to be a consistent winning program under head coach Alan Thorson.
