CHICAGO – Marquee Sports Network and Kohl Children’s Museum in Glenview, Ill. have partnered on a new exhibit at the Museum spotlighting all aspects of Marquee’s studio and game production, highlighted by a full-scale replica of Marquee Sports Network’s studio desk.

Beginning Thursday, September 29, Chicago area kids can explore the exhibit and go-behind-the-scenes in the day of a life of a Marquee broadcaster or producer, including replicating play-by-play calls and highlight packages at the Marquee desk, or go behind the camera and try their hand at studio production.

The exhibit includes highlights of both Chicago Cubs and Chicago Sky games, allowing kids to practice their play-by-play calls of home runs, great defensive plays and game-winning three-pointers.

“We’re very excited to partner with Marquee Sports Network on this new exhibit,” said Stephanie Bynum, Kohl Children’s Museum’s Vice President of Programs. “It’s a lot of fun for little kids – and their older siblings – to see what goes on in a sports broadcast booth and then be the star of the show.”

Bynum points out that giving kids the opportunity to “pull the curtain back” on what they see so often on TV might even spark interest in a wide range of career opportunities, from broadcast journalism to television production.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Kohl Children’s Museum on this unique, kid-friendly experience,” said Marquee Sports Network General Manager, Mike McCarthy. “We look forward to this exhibit allowing kids to showcase their imagination as they interact with the Marquee studio set and dream of becoming the next great broadcaster!”

The Marquee Sports Network exhibit will be accessible to the public from 2–4:30 PM CT Tuesday through Friday, and is included with general admission.
