Kyle Tucker is already giddy about donning Cubs pinstripes.

The star outfielder, acquired from the Astros on Friday in a trade for Isaac Paredes, Hayden Wesneski and infield prospect Cam Smith, shared his excitement about joining the Northsiders.

The 27-year-old is the exact type of coveted star the Cubs have been searching for a while now. He’s been one of the premier bats in baseball and fills an immediate need at the top of the Cubs lineup.

Tucker has one year of team control before free agency, but the Cubs would be hopeful that they could use 2025 as an opportunity to showcase why Chicago could be a long-term home.
