Marquee Sports Network partners with Susan G. Komen at 2022 Chicago Race for the Cure

1 year agoStaff Report

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raising awareness about the impact of breast cancer and the importance of early detection. As part of the yearly initiative, Susan G. Komen, the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to breast cancer funding, held its annual Race for the Cure in Chicago this past weekend.

Marquee Sports Network served as a sponsor for the event, and has committed resources all year to supporting Susan G. Komen in its mission to end the disease.

This year’s Race for the Cure marked the 25th anniversary of the race, raising nearly $500,000 from this year’s run, and contributing to the more than $3 billion raised by the organization since its founding in 1982.

Earlier this season, Marquee Sports Network welcomed leaders from Susan G. Komen to join Cubs Live! to discuss the organization’s mission to end breast cancer.

“Our vision at Komen is to have a world without breast cancer,” said Beth Carona, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Chicago.
