CHICAGO – Marquee Sports Network this Friday is set to broadcast the 93rd annual Chicago Prep Bowl, featuring St. Rita High School (Chicago Catholic League) against Kenwood Academy (Chicago Public League).

The Marquee Sports Network Chicago Prep Bowl presented by Prevagen kicks off on Friday at 1 PM CT, live from Fritz Pollard Field at Lane Stadium. Broadcasters for the game will include Alex Cohen (Iowa Cubs broadcaster) as play-by-play announcer, Henry Burris (Marquee Sports Network Bears analyst) as game analyst and Karli Bell (Marquee Sports Network) as sideline reporter.

The Chicago Prep Bowl is an annual matchup dating to 1927 featuring the top available teams from the Chicago Catholic League and Chicago Public League. Last season, Simeon from the Chicago Public League secured the Prep Bowl victory, defeating Fenwick, 33-30.

St. Rita is making its 10th appearance all-time in the Chicago Prep Bowl, going 8-1 in its previous nine games, including a win in its last appearance in 2018 vs. Taft High School. Kenwood Academy is making its second all-time appearance, seeking its first Prep Bowl victory after falling to Niles Notre Dame in 2021.

“We’re thrilled to be able to broadcast the Chicago Prep Bowl this Friday, bringing the city championship to Marquee Sports Network for the first time,” said Marquee Sports Network VP of Programming, Alli Bertucci. “The Prep Bowl has such a rich history in this city, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to broadcast this matchup between two great local schools in St. Rita and Kenwood.”

This Friday’s matchup marks the culmination of three-straight weeks of high school football broadcasts on Marquee Sports Network. For more information about high school football on Marquee Sports Network, visit here.
