Meet the fan who caught Suzuki’s first hit

2 years agoKarli Bell

On March 30th, Seiya Suzuki notched his first hit in a Cubs uniform with a home run.

One fan made sure to retrieve it and eventually returned the ball to Suzuki: Ryley Krausen.

Krausen joined Taylor McGregor during the Marquee Sports Network broadcast Saturday afternoon and said: “I was 100% percent in the right place at the right time. I was fortunate that it dropped right in front of me.”

When asked about what it was like meeting Suzuki, the same sentiment echoed.

“It was a really sincere and genuine moment that I will remember for the rest of my life,” Krausen said. “He was super grateful. He was smiling from ear to ear.”
