“I am extremely grateful that I was able to play in Wrigley Field wearing the home whites,” Bellinger wrote. “The fans, the atmosphere, the organization, everything Chicago is truly beautiful. I enjoyed every second of being a Cub. It will forever have a special place in my heart.”

Bellinger was traded to the Yankees on Wednesday, along with cash considerations, for right-handed pitcher Cody Poteet.
The Instagram post by Bellinger featured a video from one of his more epic moments in Chicago. It was a side view of his home run against the Rockies in April, when the Wrigley Field fans began chanting “Cody, Cody, Cody!” Bellinger hit a no-doubt home run to answer their chants.
Bellinger’s move comes after the Cubs acquired 3-time All-Star Kyle Tucker in a trade with Houston.
