How to Watch: Exclusive National TV Broadcasts

Marquee Sports Network is the exclusive home for all locally broadcasted Chicago Cubs games. Select games each season however are selected by Major League Baseball and its broadcast partners for exclusive national broadcasts, meaning the games are not permitted to be aired on Marquee Sports Network.

See below for more information about how to watch Cubs games airing exclusively through MLB’s national broadcast partners. Don’t forget to tune in to Marquee Sports Network immediately after each game for Cubs Postgame Live! presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield for all the highlights, analysis and clubhouse reaction (excluding select games).

2023 Chicago Cubs National TV Broadcast Schedule (as of 4/1/2023)*

  • April 7 vs. Texas (1:20 PM) – Apple TV+
  • April 29 at Miami (3:05 PM) – FOX
  • April 30 at Miami (11:05 AM) — Peacock
  • May 12 at Minnesota (7:10 PM) – Apple TV+
  • May 27 vs. Cincinnati (6:15 PM) — FOX
  • June 10 at San Francisco (6:35 PM) — FOX
  • June 18 vs. Baltimore (12:05 PM) – Peacock
  • June 24 at St. Louis – in London (12:10 PM) – FOX
  • June 25 at St. Louis – in London (9:10 AM) — ESPN
  • July 1 vs. Cleveland (6:15 PM) — FOX
  • August 26 at Pittsburgh (6:15 PM) — FOX

Programming Blue 3

Apple TV+ has exclusive rights to a weekly doubleheader of Major League Baseball games each Friday throughout the regular season, available to Apple TV+ subscribers with no local blackout restrictions.  

2023 Cubs games airing exclusively on Apple TV+:

  • April 7 vs. Texas (1:20 PM)
  • May 12 at Minnesota (7:10 PM)

Programming Blue 2

ESPN has exclusive rights to a package of Major League Baseball games airing on Sundays throughout the season, typically night games as part of its Sunday Night Baseball package. The Cubs’ lone ESPN exclusive national selection this year so far is a morning game, as the Cubs face off against the Cardinals in London.

2023 Cubs games airing exclusively on ESPN:

  • June 25 at St. Louis – in London (9:10 AM)

How to Watch: Exclusive ESPN broadcasts are available nationwide on ESPN with no local blackout restrictions, available to fans in Chicago and across the country as long as you have ESPN with your cable or streaming provider.

Programming Fox

FOX Sports has exclusive rights to select Saturday afternoon and evening Major League Baseball games throughout the regular season. FOX typically carries a pair of exclusive, regionalized broadcasts during each Saturday window (check local listings to see if the Cubs game will be available on FOX in your area).

2023 Cubs games airing exclusively on FOX:

  • April 29 at Miami (3:05 PM)
  • May 27 vs. Cincinnati (6:15 PM)
  • June 10 at San Francisco (6:35 PM)
  • June 24 at St. Louis – in London (12:10 PM)
  • July 1 vs. Cleveland (6:15 PM)
  • August 26 at Pittsburgh (6:15 PM)

How to Watch: Exclusive FOX Sports broadcasts can be watched on your local FOX affiliate, as long as the game is selected to air in your region. If you live out-of-market and the Cubs game is not selected to air on FOX in your area, the game would then be available for viewing through an out-of-market MLB package (such as MLB.TV).

Programming Blue 1

Peacock has exclusive rights to a package of Sunday morning and early afternoon games throughout the regular season, available to Peacock Premium subscribers without local blackout restrictions.

2023 Cubs games airing exclusively on Peacock:

  • April 30 at Miami (11:05 AM)
  • June 18 vs. Baltimore (1:05 PM)
