Hall of Famer Jim Thome joined Off The Mound with Ryan Dempster to reflect on his time in Chicago, specifically when the Crosstown Classic weekends would come around.

“When I was with the Sox and went to Wrigley for the first time and experienced that, it was like woah,” Thome said. “This is real. This is intense.”

Thome acknowledged that this is a rivalry the fans created and reminisced about how the day will come when both the North Siders and the South Siders match each other in talent, like it did in the 2020 season.
