Next up: Anthony Rizzo hits two home runs off Bartolo Colón

While that might sound like an Obvious Shirt, that was the case on July 20, 2016.

Rizzo hit the two farthest of the 2016 campaign off Bartolo Colón, a 451-foot solo shot in the 3rd and a 436-foot, 2-run blast in the 5th.

This was Rizzo’s 2nd multi-home run game of the season and the 11th of his career.

Fun Facts

–   The Cubs and Mets both wore 1988 throwback uniforms

–   Rizzo had struck out four times in the game the prior night.

–   This was Kyle Hendricks’ 4th straight start without allowing an earned run, dropping his ERA to 2.27

–   After the game, a trade was announced in which the Cubs acquired LHP Mike Montgomery
