Pete Crow-Armstrong reveals the one player he wants to rob a homer from the most

The Kids Only Press Conference at Cubs Convention is always a can’t-miss event each January.

The fanbase’s youth comes up with some incredible, thoughtful questions that lead to fun answers from Cubs players every single year.

Of course, there always seems to be dancing, as well:

Early in Saturday’s panel, a young fan approached the microphone and asked Pete Crow-Armstrong which player he would most like to steal a home run from during the 2025 season.

Crow-Armstrong thought for a moment and initially went one way with his answer.

“Gosh, that’s a fun question,” Crow-Armstrong said. “I mean, Shohei Ohtani would be pretty cool.”

Host Elise Menaker pointed out that the Cubs play the Dodgers to open the 2025 season in Japan, but Crow-Armstrong believes the walls are too tall in the Tokyo Dome to rob a home run.

So he had another idea.

“You know what I think would be the most fun,” Crow-Armstrong started, “would be when we go to the Bronx and play the Yankees and I take one away from our old friend, Cody Bellinger.”

Crow-Armstrong does already have a home run robbery against the Dodgers in his young career.

Last September in Los Angeles, he robbed Max Muncy of a homer to end the game in epic fashion.

The Cubs traded Bellinger to the Yankees last month, shortly after they acquired Kyle Tucker.

Crow-Armstrong has repeatedly referred to Bellinger as a mentor and a player he learned a lot from during their time together as teammates over the last couple of seasons.

The Cubs head to New York to take on Bellinger’s Yankees July 11-13.
