Pete Crow-Armstrong’s new walk-up song created by lifelong Cubs fan
One Cubs fan received the shock of a lifetime, when Pete Crow-Armstrong started using one of his band’s songs as one of Crow-Armstrong’s walk-up songs for the 2025 season.

John Hauldren and his electronic music group, Levity, live in Chicago, and Hauldren produced some of their work in Bucktown, not far from Wrigley Field. That includes “Front to Back”, Crow-Armstrong’s new walk-up song.
“My window is the skyline of Chicago and stuff,” Hauldren told the Associated Press. “And so seeing that song get played at Wrigley Field when it was made watching the skyline of Chicago and being very close to Wrigley Field was just insane to me.”
Hauldren grew up in a family of White Sox fans but was the lone dissenter as a lifelong Cubs fan. A former high school classmate texted him about the third-year star outfielder using his song, and it turned out there was a tangential connection between Crow-Armstrong and Hauldren’s music.
“My girlfriend, her cousin and her sister actually all just went to go watch them in Arizona,” Crow-Armstrong told the AP. “I had already been talking about making one of their songs my walkout, so I just decided to do it.”

Hauldren and Levity met and formed at the University of Iowa and have played Coachella in the past, with an upcoming date at Chicago’s own Lollapalooza this August.
Hauldren and Crow-Armstrong did connect on Instagram, after Hauldren posted about his excitement on his story, and tagged Crow-Armstrong, and the pair told the AP they hope to meet each other later in the season.
Cubs fans may get used to hearing “Front to Back” if Crow-Armstrong keeps it as one of his walk-up songs as he continues his excellent 2025 season. The California native is having the best season of his young career, slashing .266/.305/.813 with 17 extra base hits in 32 games entering Friday.
