In the 3rd inning of Thursday’s Cubs game, the Rangers pulled a trick out of Javy Baez’s book on a groundball.

Baez tapped a grounder to the right side on a check swing. The ball rolled up the arm of Texas first baseman Ronald Guzman and bounced straight to pitcher Jonathan Hernandez, who was already en route to cover first base on the play.
