Kyle Schwarber hit a ground ball to 2nd base with one out in the 10th inning. As soon as the Schwarber made contact, Báez was already racing toward the plate to score the winning run and gave the virtual Cubs the walk-off win over the Cincinnati Reds, 6-5.

The Cubs were tied at 5 in the bottom of the 10th. Javy Báez ripped a triple to right field that led to Schwarber’s RBI groundout to seal the victory. Dan Winkler picked up the win for the Cubs.

The Cubs will look to continue to cut into the division lead against the Reds on Saturday. First pitch is at 1 p.m. on our Facebook page.
