Casey played 12 major league seasons with Cleveland (1997), Cincinnati (1998-2005), Pittsburgh (2006), Detroit (2006-07) and Boston (2008), posting a career .302 average in 1,405 games. Nicknamed “The Mayor,” Casey and Dempster teamed up on the 2002-03 Cincinnati Reds clubs.
On this episode, Casey discusses his memories of playing at Wrigley Field as a visitor, the toughest pitcher he faced in the majors and how he became an honorary Chicago Cubs fan during the 2016 World Series run. Casey, who works as an MLB analyst for MLB Network, is the host of The Mayor’s Office podcast.
