Shota Imanaga dons hilarious ‘Toy Story’ costume as part of Cubs theme trip for rookies

Shota Imanaga has become a universally beloved player during his rookie season with the Cubs.

“Toy Story” is a universally beloved movie.

It feels like the perfect match.

Each year toward the end of the season, MLB teams have their rookies dress up in funny costumes.

Imanaga and his interpreter, Edwin Stanberry, dressed up as a joint costume of Slinky Dog:

Imanaga has actually seen the first 2 “Toy Story” movies, as he said those movies are big in Japan.

The Cubs veterans picked out the costumes for each of the team’s rookies.

It’s yet another light-hearted chapter in Imanaga’s rookie season that has brought plenty of joy to Cubs fans.
