The South Bend Cubs had a tie game heading into the bottom of the 8th inning until Chicago native Ed Howard cranked an RBI double to give the Cubs their first lead of the game.

That double sparked a 5-run rally to then give South Bend the 7-2 win over the Fort Wayne Tin Caps.
