Superfan ‘mom’s the Cubbies’ from front row
Superfan Jillian was so vocal in her support of the Cubs during Wednesday’s game, her cheering was picked up on the broadcast.
From calling Cubs infielder Trent Giambrone the “Italian Stallion” to encouraging outfielder Ian Miller to “pull it together” (he did; he singled on the next pitch), Jillian became the team’s unofficial cheerleader for the day.
So Taylor McGregor went down to chat with Jillian and secured her backstory — she has carried her cheering prowess over from her daughter’s softball team to Cubs spring training action, where she now “mom’s the Cubbies,” as she calls it.
Check out the entire entertaining interview with the temporary (future?) play-by-play broadcaster for the Cubs.
