The Cubs’ playoff push: NL Wild Card race update
Following a mid-week sweep in Atlanta, the Cubs enter the final weekend needing to pile up wins to keep their playoff hopes alive. With one more loss than the Marlins, and the Marlins holding the tiebreaker, the Cubs will need to win at least two more games than Miami to make the postseason, as well as holding off the Cincinnati Reds.
Still, there is a chance for Chicago as the team heads to face a Milwaukee club who will be resting top pitchers as they gear up for the NL Wild Card round, and will be relying on a Pirates team that has shown signs of progress over the past few weeks.
