Cubs pitcher Tyler Chatwood joined Taylor McGregor on Cubs 360 Summer Camp to share why it’s important for him to mix up his pitches this season. 

Chatwood talked about how in order to be successful, he needs to mix up his pitches because he has a lot of good pitches.

“In the past, I’ve really relied on fastballs because I was a fastball heavy pitcher. Every other pitch that I have is a good pitch as well,” Chatwood said. 

While talking with Tommy Hottovy and Mike Borzello, they all talked about how utilizing all of his pitches can benefit Chatwood’s performance.

“Now, I feel confident throwing anything in there in any count, so I think that just makes my fastball play harder and it makes it better as well,” Chatwood said.
