CHICAGO – Marquee Sports Network and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) have partnered for a second-straight year on a special game broadcast auction highlighting the organization’s mission to provide all Americans with equal access to a college education. During this weekend’s Cubs broadcasts, Marquee Sports Network will air interviews with executives from UNCF as well as promote a live auction with all proceeds going directly to UNCF.

UNCF is committed to building a robust and nationally-recognized pipeline of under-represented students who, because of UNCF support, become highly-qualified college graduates. To learn more about UNCF, visit UNCF.org.

The auction, which will be live from Friday, August 18 through Monday, September 4, will feature the following once-in-a-lifetime experiences and items from Marquee Sports Network, as well as additional vacation packages:

“We are pleased and honored for this opportunity,” said Lisa Rollins, Regional Workplace Director for UNCF. “Marquee Sports Network’s commitment to our partnership with the Chicago Cubs and the City of Chicago is something to cheer about. We are excited for the second year of this partnership and look forward to many more years of collaboration.”

The UNCF auction this weekend corresponds with a special weekend of programming dedicated to the history of the Negro Leagues, highlighted by two on-site specials from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City and the premiere of an hour-long documentary on the legendary Buck O’Neil.
