WATCH: Cubs pull off incredible 9th inning rally against Cardinals
Heading into the 9th inning Thursday night against the Cardinals, the Cubs trailed 4-2.
It seemed as if the writing was on the wall and the Cubs were on their way to another loss.
But not on this night.
With 1 out, Cody Bellinger laced a solo home run into the left-center bleachers to cut the deficit the 4-3. Two batters later, Nico Hoerner singled and stole second base to put himself into scoring position with 2 outs.
Dansby Swanson came up with a clutch RBI double to left field to tie the ballgame at 4.
Craig Counsell then went to his bench and put Mike Tauchman in to pinch-hit for Pete Crow-Armstrong.
Tauchman ripped a double down the left field line to help the Cubs complete an incredible comeback over their division rivals.
