Willson Contreras celebrated his 3-run homer with an absolutely legendary bat-flip

If Statcast ever starts tracking exit velocities on bat-flips, they might want to start with Willson Contreras’ Friday night.

The Cubs DH sent a Dylan Cease into the right-field bleachers for a 3-run homer in the 3rd inning at Guaranteed Rate field, a blast that registered 104.4 mph. His bat might have come out of his hands just as fast.

The homer gave the Cubs an early 4-0 lead against their Crosstown counterparts.
