2025 NFL Draft order: Where the Bears could pick next spring
The 2024-25 Bears season has turned on a dime.
It’s December and instead of looking at where the Bears fit in the NFC playoff picture, we’re instead discussing where the team lands in the 2025 NFL Draft order.
That’s what a 7-game losing streak will do.
As it stands after play concludes in Week 14, the Bears have a pretty firm hold on a Top 10 draft selection next spring (h/t Tankathon.com):
- Las Vegas Raiders (2-11)
- New York Giants (2-11)
- New England Patriots (3-10)
- Carolina Panthers (3-10)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10)
- Tennessee Titans (3-10)
- New York Jets (3-10)
- Cleveland Browns (3-10)
- Chicago Bears (4-9)
- New Orleans Saints (5-8)
- Cincinnati Bengals (5-8)
- Dallas Cowboys (5-8)
The Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers are all currently 6-7 and 2 games “behind” the Bears in the Draft order standings.
It’s very possible the Bears end up winless the rest of the season as they have 4 remaining games against playoff contending teams: Vikings, Lions, Seahawks, Packers.
So we could see the Bears potentially move up higher on this list and secure a better draft position.
Tiebreakers for draft order are: strength of schedule, division tiebreakers, conference tiebreakers and interconference tiebreakers.
By virtue of playing in the best division in football this season, the Bears have competed against a strong schedule of opponents this season.
